Wukong update: finished low poly retopo at 5876 tris. I wanted to give myself enough room to add the alpha planes for the hair and fur.

Blending man and ape!

Wrestling with some ideas for my rendition of the Monkey King. Here is a quick rough I threw together by pulling from the references on the left.

Color Test

Here is the overall result I would like to achieve. The shader is just a standard ZBrush material at the moment. My goal is to show some nuances of fine detail while keeping it somewhat cartoonish.

Updated Bronx to make him resemble more of the original character design.

Only spent about 15min on this so it's still rough, but I can tell he's going to be a fun one to model.

Reliving My Childhood

Did a quick sketch up of my rendition of Bronx from the 90's cartoon, Gargoyles.

Here is an update of my mantis demon. The upper torso was shortened to give him more balance. Proxy wings are there just a s place holders. Moving forward with retopo and final detail pass.

I changed a lot of things! After seeing the Diablo 3 sculpts i went on sculpting spree! I tried to stay true to the original shape of the creature, but really wanted to push a more imposing feel.

A quick height and color study

Here's an old creature concept to get myself started. I will most likely be changing a few things in the actual sculpt.
